  • Of course you’re saying that. Lemmy has 4 fav words to describe scenarios that they disagree with: Nazi, Fascist, Sealioning, Strawman.

If you are having such a hard time reading half a page (not 18 pages) of text refuting what you say, then I can’t help you. I know that’s sooooo much reading.

Because hey, it’s not a Minecraft map. I understand it’s hard for ya.

Let me TL;DR it for ya: Shit is ok when YOU do it, but not ok when the other side does it. Classic Lemmy.

Hey, now throw the other 3 lemmy terms at me. See if that changes my mind! Go on… I’ll help ya. Nazi (tho I didn’t write nazi stuff on a rock and leave it in a Jewish neighborhood like the Nazi in the article), Fascist (tho I didn’t write nazi stuff on a rock and leave it in a Jewish neighborhood like the Nazi in the article), and Sealioning.

Wait, was this too many words for ya too? Oopsie!

  • I’m saying you would normally call your sort of post virtue signaling, because the only time your virtue signaling ass cares about a hate crime is when a liberal does it.

Alright, let’s go with your logic. You’re calling this “virtue signaling.” But remember how, a year ago, when a conservative did anything involving Nazi imagery, and people called it out, conservatives would say, “You’re overreacting, it’s just virtue signaling.” And you liberals said, “Nope, this is real. These people are Nazis and fascists, and calling it virtue signaling is just making excuses.”

So now let’s flip it. Imagine someone placed a brick with a swastika and the word “Nazi” on a car in a Jewish neighborhood. But instead of it being a Tesla, let’s say it had a Biden/Harris bumper sticker. Would any of you call that “virtue signaling”?

Hell no. You’d say it was a hate crime, and you’d be rightfully outraged. And if a conservative showed up and told you to calm down and stop “virtue signaling,” you’d tear them apart for defending Nazi behavior.

But now that it’s a Tesla, suddenly your side is calling it virtue signaling?

If it was wrong to minimize it as virtue signaling back then, it’s still wrong now. You don’t get to flip the rules just because it’s your team doing it.

In fact, just recently on Lemmy I have seen many MANY comments saying, “If someone shows nazi imagery, or if someone supports someone doing nazi imagery, then they’re a nazi.”

Well here is someone who painted a rock with nazi imagery. And placed on a car in a jewish neighborhood. Using Lemmy logic, that person is a Nazi. Probably a fascist too.

And brah, if you support that person…well you know what Lemmy says about people supporting Nazi’s…

Hey, here’s an idea: How about not painting Nazi symbols on anything. Ever. For any reason. Try that.

Now in your defense, I do agree with your last part. If she just left a piece of paper, no nazi imagery, and just called the car owner a tool, and said she disagreed with Teslas, that’d be ok. I mean, she’d be a bitch, but I’d be ok with it.

Nazi imagery is never cool. Regardless of context or “protesting.” It’s a hate symbol.
