  • Not quite.

I can only describe in this way to try and explain.

    You start work 01/01/2025.

    No stocks given.

    1 year later 01/01/2026

You get given say 10 shares unvested which vest after two years.

    1 year later 01/01/2027

Nothing beats but you get another 10 shares unvested which vest after two years.

    1 year later 01/01/2028

The first set you were given have vested and you can sell them or keep them. The second set have not vested as they have one more year to go. You get a third set of shares which again vest in two years

    Then the cycle repeats.

Hope I explained that well enough.

  • What do you mean by back-weighted and how is it fucked up? Genuinely don’t know.

I worked for Apple on the Genius Bar in the Uk and we had the same schedule. I didn’t see it as a bad thing and when it was time to leave to become a software engineer I just had to weigh how much money I would lose that had not vested vs potential in new career.

Are they not just an incentive to keep staff. I will say that I’ve had 60+ jobs in my life and aside from my current one for a small company as an engineer, Apple was leaps and bounds above all the others in terms of support, benefits, and just a good work life balance. It was because I was surrounded by talented people and supported that I got my shit together and learned to program, which Apple also made many concessions to allow me the time.

  • Steve Balmer isn’t the most sound minded individual and it’s almost expected that Microsoft is going to play down Apple.

I don’t know too much about Clifford Stall but doesn’t seem like an expert in technology and so a poor assessment is to be expected.

3D TVs. We could find people who said 3D TVs were a fad. Almost like people say both things and they can’t all be correct.

To be clear. I think self driving cars might be a think in the distant future but not in mine or my children’s lives. Tesla has an insane amount of data and even they struggle in different sunlights and you couldn’t apply to that to the uk as the roads are so different that you would need an amount of data filmed in the UK. Then do that for all countries.

Are any other manufacturers even attempting this problem because Tesla is losing market share by the day and it won’t be long before their investors will want them to stop spending money on FSD to allow them to turn a profit. What with Elon turning most people away from his companies for being a cunt.

  • Do you just assume everybody that gets take out, goes for fast food, or eats at a restaurant can’t cook?

Does it not seem more appropriate that they just want to have a lazy day and not cook. Your comments here reek of privilege and superiority.

Try and be better my guy. Looking at how you’ve been received here should cause you to have a little introspection in how you conduct yourself. I say this from a place of constructive criticism and not having a go at you. We all make mistakes online and we should learn from them to be better and make this community a better place for everybody.

  • Even taking away all these delivery services I hate having food delivered as you don’t know how long it’s sat in the car whilst they deliver other orders. The fries are soggy and it’s just not good.

I use those sites to browse the menu then i call the restaurant, which is cheaper, then go and collect it myself.

These services have also ruined fast food. McD although shit is convenient on the commute home It’s just filled with Uber eats and Just eat drivers and really makes it slow now to get food. Then they have these screens to order on so you can’t even get hold of a member of staff to ask for salt cause they’re too cheap to leave it out like they used to.
