I guess the guy who made fun of him that way is the greater cunt of those two. Such a behaviour shouldn’t occur in the first place.

Green text is gay, mention is of girlfriend, therefore this is a woman, likely has masturbated.

    It’s a good come-back.

But laughing at someone and making them feel unimaginably belitteled, over something like whether they’ve gotten laid, wouldn’t have been cool in any scenario.

“I was molested” just jolts everyone into reconsidering what just happened.

God yes. The obnoxious, extroverted sales monkeys are a menace. We’re finally getting some new walls at our workplace so we can work in peace as non-sales, actually-doing-work employees.

Oddly enough that isn’t quite my experience. I went to university immediately after finishing school and was pleasantly surprised at how civilized and mature everyone at university was, compared to just a few months ago at school, even though many of them were still teenagers. It’s something about the environment of school that causes so many young people to behave awfully.

in the workplace yeah the worst I’ve seen another teenager do is have their headphones in while sweeping. When they don’t have a wage tied to them however…

If their music is too loud to hear the fire alarm or other alarms. There were places that I worked that hearing an alarm would save your life. When I was a supervisor I should have said no ear buds, but that’s a bit ridiculous. So I only got on a person’s case if they had both in, a compromise. This way the teen sweeping can listen to their music and hear a hazard alarm if it happens. Workplace safety is important.

Yeah, that sucks, especially when you’re in high school, and right after.

But after, when you get out the real world, that shit lessens, and you won’t care.

If that was a lie it’s pretty gross to use other people’s trauma as a prop.

Knowing how few CSA victims actually speak out relative to how common it is (1 in 4 to 1 in 10 depending on source) I would usually assume someone’s being honest about it. Despite it being absolutely life ruining and an incredible up hill battle to recover from there is little recognition publicly for it.

tbf, next time the guy tries to make fun of someone for being a virgin he’ll think twice about it because of that interaction, and who knows maybe that will spare a person who actually went though something like that from having to feel awful

in this situation, despite being in poor taste, the lie could’ve actually done some good in the long run

i mean … maybe. But Lemmy is still gonna use “incel” as an insult, which is literally the same. Ive seen that here more than anywhwere else.

        • thats because self defined incels are awful people, especially regarding their online conduct. That absolutely makes “incel” a valid descriptor for people who behave like one - spreading misogynist bullshit, fantasizing about alpha males and jawlines and having a very “black and white” worldview, coupled with a tendency to glorify authoritarian society and being awful to anyone not fitting in their simply wrong pseudoscientifical “there are only 2 genders” and “homosexuality and transness are a mental disease” lies.

Incel is absolutely legit as an insult when someone behaves like one. The focus does NOT lie on virginity at all, but on a mindset.

I am sorry this story was completely manufactured and homosexual.

if your idea of “top tier shitposting” means just reusing the same old meme, then fine…

if “missing it” means getting it completely but finally after all this time asking “why do we even say that?” then yeah I guess I missed it

unfortunately I don’t think either of those cases mean what you say they mean.
