My biggest issue with Eternal was that it seemed like keeping the story consistent wasn’t a priority.
Your posts are the highlight of my Lemmy feed ❤️.

alehel@lemmy.zipto Games@lemmy.world•Ubisoft says you "cannot complain" it shut down The Crew because you never actually owned it, and you weren't "deceived" by the lack of an offline versionEnglish4·16 days agoI agree with this, however, I also don’t think they should be allowed to call it purchasing. If you don’t own something, then you didn’t purchase it. The button for games like these should be “long-term rental” or something to that effect.
alehel@lemmy.zipto Games@lemmy.world•Switch 2 GameCube controller will only be offered to those who pre-order the consoleEnglish10·20 days agoI can’t buy any of their classic controllers here in Norway. Never understood why we were left out.
alehel@lemmy.zipto Games@lemmy.world•Physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games are reportedly Switch 1 carts with codes in the boxEnglish17·20 days agoNot sure I understand the comparison. Steam DRM is easy to remove, and there’s no device to jailbreak as it’s just a PC.
alehel@lemmy.zipto Games@lemmy.world•Nintendo Switch 2 hands-on reveals a proper generational upgrade, though its biggest new idea remains unprovenEnglish3·23 days agoOr just connect a regular mouse using Bluetooth. Current switch already supports it for some games.
Only works if it goes back up 😬
Yeah, this was my thinking as well. Inflation + preparations for tariffs are likely enough to bring the price to 450.
Developer just confirmed the they found and fixed the bug for the next version.

Turns out I don’t care about my library being split. I just add desktop icons for the games I’m playing and launch them from there without thinking about what platform it’s on.
alehel@lemmy.zipOPto Games@lemmy.world•GOG seems to be considering paid membership optionEnglish2·26 days agoYeah, I’m actually a member of his channel on YouTube.
Yes, I’d much rather these be on Lemmy! I don’t want yet another blog to bookmark. By being on Lemmy I also catch new posts pretty quickly in my feed.
I love these posts, but I need to make a bug report for the Boost app, because for some reason these posts are unreadable in that app. Scrolling is just way to sluggish. Not sure if it’s the length, or number of images.
alehel@lemmy.zipOPto Games@lemmy.world•GOG seems to be considering paid membership optionEnglish4·26 days agoI honestly thought this was an option, but I can’t see it in the client, and the offline installers only offer all patches and the latest version. Not the original version.
I agree that’s daft, and hope that feature doesn’t get paywalled. The more people who do the survey and stress these points, the better.
alehel@lemmy.zipOPto Games@lemmy.world•GOG seems to be considering paid membership optionEnglish501·27 days agoI got the impression they’re aiming more for a “fan club” kind of thing where you get access to articles/videos/Q&A/voting rights, etc. So more a kind of Patreon like many creators have. I didn’t get the impression that this would in any way change the business model of the store.
I think a lot of people are concerned about situations like this: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-27191500
alehel@lemmy.zipOPto Games@lemmy.world•GOG seems to be considering paid membership optionEnglish17·27 days agoI think the only way they can introduce a subscription without backlash is if they make it a purely community thing with a few bonuses. Give people access to special insights into their preservation efforts, special interviews, voting rights, Q&A, occasional free game, etc. If they lock features behind this like more cloud storage, or other stuff that customers simply expect with their game purchase, the press will be all negative.
Shame about Nightdive not getting permission to do Goldeneye. They’ve done great work in the past, and a remaster of Goldeneye would have been awesome to see.
Don’t be nervous, I love your posts, and I’m sure others do to 🙌.
