I feel like it would have actually been quicker to do the full animation in Aseprite.
Still, excellent result.
I thought the same thing, seemed like so much extra effort to achieve that slight wiggle of the water (though the added glow coming from in the building does look nice).
Your foliage looks so good! The little touches of movement and lighting really give the scene life.
It was fun getting to watch your process :)
